Five killed in northern Cameroon suicide bombing

This is not the first or second but the third time the area is being hit by multiple blasts this month alone.Two female suicide bombers detonated their explosives, which killed two civilians and a police officer who was on a routine search in the Galdi neighbourhood near the entrance to the town.Last week, seven people were killed in an attack in Kolofata. Military sources say they fear Sunday's bombing appeared to be another in the latest cross-border attacks by the Boko Haram terror group."It happened not far from the town stadium when the police officer who was killed attempted to carry out a routine check," said one of the military officers.Cameroon is a major contributor to an 8,700-strong, Nigerian-led regional force expected to start operations against Boko Haram this year.
